The now-legendary Painswick Egg Hunt, our one and only annual fundraiser will be returning on Saturday 19th April 2025!

Painswick Easter Egg Hunt is an annual community event run by the Painswick Playgroup Committee to raise vital funds for Painswick Playgroup. It usually always takes place on Easter Saturday 12 – 4pm and takes in the beauty that Painswick has to offer. We sell maps for visitors to complete at their own leisure and have the opportunity to will prizes for completed anagram map entries. The main event is on Easter Saturday but the egg trail will be available to complete until 4pm on Easter Monday.
We normally have many beautifully designed eggs hiding all around the village for you and your little ones to find (with the help of our map), and every completed trail is entered into a prize draw. As well as our fun trail, we have:
- Face painting
- Hot drinks
- Luxury Raffle, featuring fantastic prizes
- Homemade cake stall
- Chocolate & Bottle tombola
- Hot food stalls
- Princess meet and greet
- Egg and spoon races
- Bric-a-brac stall
Throughout the day there are special appearances by the Easter Bunny, with plenty of opportunities to have your photo taken with him.
Free parking is available in the village.
Painswick Easter Egg Hunt has become a firmly established event in the local calendar and attracts visitors from all over Gloucestershire and beyond. It’s a great day out and always has a fantastic atmosphere. All money raised goes directly back to Painswick Playgroup to improve facilities for our children.
